Guide to packing
It is the customers responsibility to ensure that their goods are properly packaged and the outer covering is suitable for the weight and contents of consignments.  The most suitable are strong cartons.  Use wide 50 mm vinyl tape to close securely carton. Write consignee’s name and address on one of carton sides. Use only Permanent Markers which are waterproof.

Glass and delicate objects – before placing them into a carton wrap carefully with bubble wrap or other suitable material.  Be sure to mark a carton with FRAGILE sign.

Electronic equipment – use original packaging if possible. If not use a lot of bubble wrap and pack all pieces separately before placing them into cartons.  Be sure they are not upside down. Mark cartons with arrows UP and FRAGILE.

Bicycles
– before transport they need a bit of attention.  Lower a saddle to its lowest point.  Place a handle-bar parallel to its frame.  Secure a gear-change and wrap with bubble wrap.  If possible always send in original carton.

Furniture
– all furniture must be packed very carefully.  If you do not know how to do it contact us. We can either help by advising what to do or agree to pack by Eagle Transport professional packers.

Paintings and mirrors
– because these items are always very fragile they should be packed with exceptional care.  Use a lot of bubble wrap to secure them.  Place into a suitable size carton.  If there is still loose space fill with polystyrene balls.  Mark all around with FRAGILE signs.  If in doubt call us for an advice.
