Eagle Transport was officially registered in 1951 although it was a
trading name since 1948 when a bunch of Polish ex army men bought few
lorries from an army compound and begun business. For
the first few years it was mainly involved in relocation of Poles who
decided to settle down in Britain after the War. Later it began
to provide wider services including removals and general transport as
well as warehousing.
After 1970 the company launched international removal service between
Britain and Poland and in 1976 regular door-to-door parcel
service. Until the end of 2006 over 600 thousand parcels to over 63 thousand customers in Poland were sent.
The history of Eagle Transport is full of memorable events, all of them
written down and kept in our archives. To name just few are
transportations of priceless pieces of furniture to the Warsaw Royal
Castle, transports of books and documents to many National Museums and
Government institutions in Poland and a great deal of individual orders
for packing and transport of most unusual objects including 2 tonnes
garden bronze gnome or gold plated loo set.
Eagle Transport is also specializing in moving commercial goods between
Britain and Poland – no load is too small. All our drivers have
ADR (Dangerous Goods ) certificates and we operate under CMR (
Condition of Carriage of Goods). We are Road Haulage Association
member since 1975.
